The official launch of Tafseer Imdad ul-Karam took place on 11 October 2004, in London, in the presence of Shaykh Amin al-Hasanat Shah and other prominent guests.

Nearly one hundred scholars, media representatives and government officials attended the event, held at Mobeen Restaurant, Green Street. All praised the tremendous efforts of Shaykh Muhammad Imdad Hussain Pirzada and congratulated him on the publication of the first part of the Tafseer.

After the recitation of the Qur’an - by Hafiz Arshad Jamil - and a Naat in praise of the noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) - performed by Noor Ahmed Qazmi - Qari Abdul Aziz Chishti was the first to speak, offering his sincere congratulations to Shaykh M I H Pirzada for his pioneering work. He said that as the Qur’an was a shifa (cure), he hoped the Tafseer would cure the ailments we suffer in the West.

Pir Sayyid Muzammal Hussain Shah expressed his utmost joy with the publication of this Tafseer, the Ahlus Sunnah could hold its head up high. Qari Khaleel Ahmed Haqqani (Watford) said that Shaykh M I H Pirzada had already written books which helped Muslims to understand the Qur’an (Imdad-us-Sarf and Imdad-un-Nahv), and this was another huge step in helping British Muslims.

Gul Muhammad, said that as his past and present roles as teacher, speaker and Imam, people often asked him about Islam's position on matters such as slavery, polygamy, women's rights, usury and so on. Tafseer Imdad ul-Karam now provides the answers to such dilemmas in one book, as well as several other contentious issues.

Sahibzada Habib-ur-Rahman Mahboobi read some extracts from the Tafseer on the issue of destiny (taqdeer) and applauded Shaykh M I H Pirzada for clearly and conclusively explaining such a difficult issue.

Imam Shahid Raza Na'eemi said that a sign of an excellent piece of literary work or research is that it answers the question of the given time in which it was written. And Muslims believe that the Qur’an contains the answer to every question and we should be ever grateful to the able scholars who have extracted these secrets from within the Qur’an. In particular nowadays, where people are seeing Islam as a terrorist regime, and a religion which was spread by the sword Shaykh M I H Pirzada has given an up-to-date answer to these objections.     

Farhan Aslam, a television presenter, congratulated Shaykh M I H Pirzada on releasing the Tafseer in English as well as Urdu. Maqsood Ahmad, Home Office advisor on Muslim Affairs, offered his thanks to Shaykh M I H Pirzada for bringing the Qur’an to the level of young Muslims who we are leaving behind. He added that it was a delight to see that all of the leaders of Ahlus Sunnah were sitting under one roof, united and cohesive.

Tahir Memon (Chief Executive of ARY Digital) humbly remarked that he felt that he didn't deserve to be sitting in such a unique gathering. He stressed the importance of uniting the Ummah and propagating our civilised religion to the West. He finally expressed his support on behalf of ARY Digital for the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaa’ah.

Shaykh M I H Pirzada thanked Allah immensely for giving him the job of writing a tafseer of His words.  He said that he tried hard to write a tafseer in a simple and straightforward manner to reach a universal audience. Every age and place has its own requirements. Previous Scholars have written Tafseers according to their own times and he, similarly, wrote this Tafseer to answer the questions posed by modern times living in the western world.

Finally, Shaykh Amin al-Hasanat Shah expressed his utmost joy on the publication of Tafseer Imdad-ul-Karam and offered words of praise for the character, piety and disposition of Shaykh M I H Pirzada.
After the Official Launch dinner was served, almost all guests had their purchased copies of Imdad-ul-Karam signed by Shaykh M I H Pirzada.
